This year for the 4th of July we made it to the celebration on base. They had free rides, vendors, games, face painting, food, and fireworks. We didn’t end up making it for the fireworks though. We had a couple of tired kids on our hands, but maybe next year.
Just because Ethan’s birthday was over 2 months ago and I am only now posting about it and I don’t have many pictures of the occasion does not mean it wasn’t a big event in our lives (it just means I’m a mother who can’t get it together)…I can’t believe I now have an 8 year old!
I am trying to do catch-up with the pictures I have and found these of Tybee that I had forgotten about. I can’t believe how much she has changed/grown in just a month and a half. My picture taking is not so great, but she is just too cute not to post them.
I am finally back again and am posting on a little trip we took that was soo long ago (middle of May) that I now cannot remember all of the details of it. So lucky for you, you pretty much get to look at a bunch of pictures :)
Another fun, family walk we took about a month ago. I’m slowly catching up! I wanted to test out my birthday present that had just come in the mail (a new lens), so beware of the many pictures.
I really should have split this post into 2, but I didn’t :) So make sure you have time to sit back and enjoy Tybee’s day with the many pictures that are here.
Of course we all had to greet her and sing to her the moment she woke up and she enjoyed every minute of it. She is so much fun when she wakes up because she is so happy. We just love this little girl.

About a month ago, we met up with some friends in Niederwerth, which is an island in the middle of the Rhein River, just outside of Koblenz. I know Laura and her family from Houston. They moved out here just over a year ago to go to graduate school. It has been a lot of fun getting to know them better and having friends from home nearby.
