Noah’s Ark & Amsterdam–March 29, 2013

Day 2 of our trip we woke up in Belgium and drove to the Netherlands.  In one day, we saw Noah’s Ark, went to Anne Frank’s house in Amsterdam and then drove to our temporary home in…(I don’t remember where, but it was two hours north of Amsterdam).

Apparently my memory is horrible after almost a year.  I really need to stay on top of documenting family moments as they happen.  Too bad life just doesn’t seem to want to slow down.

This Ark is supposedly a life-size replica of the original built by Noah.  It was a lot of fun to be able to walk around and imagine what it must have been like for Noah and his family.  There were some live animals, but the majority were fake :(

Here we are outside Anne Frank’s house waiting to buy tickets and experience a little bit of history.

Amsterdam is a beautiful city with it’s canals, bikes, and charm.  We were just sad we couldn’t spend more time there.
