Dreilandenpunt (Point of 3 Countries) - March 28, 2013

 

I cannot believe I am finally posting last year’s spring break only a few months before this year’s spring break!  I have no idea if I’m even going to remember what these pictures are all about, but lets give it a go anyway…

 

My parents (Grammy & Grampy) came out to visit us last year during Ethan’s spring break.  We decided to take advantage of the time and spend a week in the Netherlands.  On our way there, we stopped at Drielandenpunt which is where three different countries meet at one point:  Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.  We had a lot of fun braving the cold, winter weather while placing our bodies in all three countries at once and going up the big tower to look around.

Oldies, but Cuties

These pictures are from a few days after Christmas, but I thought these two were pretty cute, so I wanted to share.  I can’t believe how much they have both grown in the last 9 months.  I remember this morning because they were both begging me to take their picture and so they cuddled up and posed for me…a very rare thing for them.

Tybee had a lot of firsts today...

She slept through the night for the first time in her toddler bed,

She said her first prayer with some help,

And she went in her potty today without me even trying...it was her idea!

I can't believe she's going to be two in a week and a half. My baby is no more.

Christmas Morning 2012

The First Snow!

It is now March with beautiful, sunny, 50 degree weather, so I figured it was the perfect time to post some pictures from our first snow this winter season.  Ha Ha!  Not only was this the first snow of the season, but it was also Tybee’s first time to really play in snow.  She loved it!!  She even loved having me take her picture (which never happens).  She kept telling me to take my camera out and then she would pose for me.  I even had fun and I HATE dealing with the cold, wet snow.

America!!

Last October we visited the great USA for three weeks.  We were able to attend Anna (James’ sister) and Austin’s wedding, finalize Ethan’s adoption and spend time with both sides of the family.  It was fun for Tybee to get to know family she’s never met before.  I lugged my camera with me all of the way over there and forgot to use it much.  So unfortunately I don’t have many pictures, but we did have a great time there.
